BREAKING: NEWCASTLE MAN WANTED AFTER FAILING TO APPEAR IN COURT ON CHILD SEX CHARGES

An arrest warrant has been issued for Tahir Hussainkhil, an asylum seeker based in Newcastle, after he failed to appear for a scheduled court hearing on 1 October 2025.

Hussainkhil was due before Newcastle Magistrates’ Court charged with: Attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child Attempting to meet a girl under 16 years of age following grooming The charges stem from an undercover sting operation carried out by the Child Online Safety Team, who confronted Hussainkhil after he allegedly arranged to meet an underage girl in a local park.

When he did not attend his first hearing, the court immediately issued a warrant for his arrest.

Authorities are now attempting to locate him so he can be brought back before the court to face the charges.
