SOUTHAMPTON MAN CONVICTED FOR POSSESSING DOG SEX AND INDECENT IMAGES
A man was found with images depicting dog sex following a downloading spree, a court heard.
The 42-year-old, Stuart Grubb, confessed his crimes to his family and later paid for therapy after his arrest.
In May 2022, he was discovered with 21 images, with prosecutors revealing that 13 of those were extreme pornographic images involving humans and dogs.
The remaining eight were category C images of children.
Category A images are considered the most serious.
His defense stated that Grubb is a man of good character with no prior convictions.
The pre-sentence report indicated that Mr.
Grubb was honest about his offenses and had not committed any further crimes over the past three years while awaiting sentencing.
He also paid for counseling himself to address these issues and completed therapy.
The court was told that Grubb had cooperated with police and disclosed his actions to his family.
Despite the seriousness, the chair of the magistrates, Anne Toomer, decided his crimes were serious but not warranting a Crown Court trial, and he was given an 18-month community order and 20 days of rehabilitation activities.
Additionally, he is subject to a five-year sexual harm prevention order, notification requirements, and must complete 100 hours of unpaid work.
