PERVERT BROUGHT TO JUSTICE: MALDON MAN SNARED IN ONLINE STING
A Maldon predator who attempted to lure what he thought were teenage girls into sexual activity has been dragged before the courts and sentenced after a dramatic sting operation.
Steven Rudelhoff, of Maldon, Essex, was arrested on 13 October 2021 after undercover decoys exposed his sickening attempts to incite two girls, aged just 13 to 15, into sexual activity.
The case came to a head at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on 14 February 2022, where Rudelhoff was handed a Community Order.
The disgraced offender will be forced to complete 240 hours of unpaid community work and is subject to strict conditions: • Five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order • £240 in court costs • Two years under probation service supervision Failure to comply with any part of the order will see Rudelhoff hauled back to court to face even tougher punishment.
The sting was pulled off by a determined group of online child-protection activists.
Decoys Luna, Leela & Lizzie posed as vulnerable children, with backup from researchers at FEUK and hunters from Phoenix, ensuring Rudelhoff’s dark intentions were exposed.
