ESSEX SON WHO SLAUGHTERED MOTHER WITH SWORD AND KNIFE IS DETAINED INDEFINITELY
Javid Ahmed, aged 26, who resides on Fambridge Close in Maldon, Essex, was involved in a severe assault on his mother, Amina Begum, aged 47.The violent incident took place on 24 March when Ahmed attacked his mother using both a sword and a knife, causing her 37 injuries in the street.
The attack started inside their family home and extended outside, with bystanders including neighbors witnessing the assault.
The violence came to an end only when 80-year-old neighbor Margaret Anderson stepped in and told Ahmed to stop.
Before the incident, Ahmed had become interested in the Illuminati after watching a DVD about the secret society a year earlier.
He also showed increasing suspicions, believing that lawyers and medical professionals were under the influence of the Illuminati.
During court proceedings, psychiatrist Dr.
Raman Deo stated that Ahmed's obsession with the secret society had intensified.
The court was told that Ahmed called emergency services to report that he had killed his mother.
Judge Charles Gratwicke condemned the attack, stating: 'No one can feel anything but shock, revulsion, and sickness at the way in which your mother died.
She was assaulted by you inside the house, with a knife and sword.
She must have been terrified as she fled, already injured, and fell to the ground where you continued to attack her.
She brought you into this world, nurtured, cared for, and loved you.
She gave you life, and you took hers.' Ahmed was subsequently detained indefinitely in a secure mental health facility and will only be released with the Ministry of Justice's approval.
The court also awarded Mrs.
Anderson £250 as a token of appreciation for her bravery.
