CONTROVERSY AS CONVICTED PAEDOPHILE RELEASED ON BAIL AFTER APPEAL
A man named Steven Adams, aged 41, has recently been released from prison after serving less than a year of a five-year sentence.Adams was initially convicted last September of two counts of indecently assaulting young girls and taking inappropriate photographs of children.
His conviction also included charges of lewd and libidinous practices.
Adams, who resides in Castlemilk, Glasgow, was incarcerated for these offenses but was granted release after lodging an appeal against his conviction.
He is now out of jail until the date of his appeal hearing is set.
His release includes a condition that he must not contact his victims.
The incident caused significant outrage, with one mother of a victim expressing her anger, saying: "I am extremely angry that Adams is out of jail and I think it makes a mockery of the justice system.
He is a convicted paedophile and he's on the loose.
It's like a slap on the face for us." The authorities stated that Adams had been granted interim liberation and that the appeal process could take several weeks.
Adams was convicted in September of the previous year for indecent practices involving children and possessing indecent images, and his case has sparked public controversy and disappointment among victims' families.
