LONGSIGHT PERVERT STEPHEN JOHN SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENSES AND PREGNANT SCHOOLGIRL

In a case that has shocked the community of Longsight, Stephen John, aged 29, has been sentenced to eight years in prison after a series of disturbing criminal activities involving a young girl and the distribution of indecent images of children.

Authorities uncovered the full extent of John's crimes during an investigation into his possession and sharing of child-abuse images. The investigation revealed that John first established contact with his victim through online platforms when she was only 12 years old. Over time, he manipulated and persuaded her to meet him in Manchester, where he then subjected her to abuse at his family home. The abuse was severe enough that it resulted in the girl becoming pregnant.

During the court proceedings, it was disclosed that while she was pregnant, John boasted to her about having committed a sex crime against a very young child, revealing his disturbing mindset and true intentions. Judge Tony Cross QC, presiding over the case at Manchester Crown Court, emphasized the gravity of John's actions, stating that his conversations with the victim demonstrated his malicious intent. The judge also highlighted the tragic consequence of his actions, noting that the girl suffered a miscarriage at her home due to the unprotected sexual activity with John.

Stephen John, who resides on Marshfield Street in Longsight, pleaded guilty to multiple sex crimes, including the distribution and creation of indecent images of children. His criminal activities first came to light in August 2014 when police discovered that he had shared indecent videos of very young children with other online offenders via Skype. Investigations revealed that John was not only sharing these videos but also engaging in discussions about child abuse with other perpetrators.

When questioned by police, John claimed that he had left his laptop open at home, suggesting that others could have accessed and distributed the illegal content. Despite being on bail for these initial offences, John continued to download and possess further images of child abuse. In June of the previous year, law enforcement officials found a significant number of additional images on another of his computers. During the investigation into these new offences, authorities uncovered evidence of his abuse against the schoolgirl.

Judge Cross addressed the court, stating that the most serious images, some of which John had shared with others, depicted children who appeared to be infants. The police estimated that some of these children were little more than babies. The judge also noted that on June 19, John was re-arrested after officers found him in possession of a different device, which indicated his deliberate intent to accumulate such disturbing images despite knowing the severity of his actions and his learning difficulties.

Furthermore, police investigations revealed that John had engaged in an unlawful relationship with a 15-year-old girl. It was confirmed that he was aware of her age from their initial meeting in a car park, where she was dressed in her school uniform. The case underscores the extent of John's criminal conduct, which has left a lasting impact on his victims and the community of Longsight.
