A man convicted of raping two teenage girls while they were sleeping has been sentenced to prison.Stefan Dobandi, aged 20 and without a fixed residence, appeared before Mold Crown Court on Tuesday, 24 March, for his sentencing hearing.
In a separate court session held in February, he pleaded guilty to three counts of rape and two counts of producing indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child.
Dobandi received a prison term of 10 years, with an additional two-year extension on license conditions.
He was also subjected to restraining orders lasting 10 years to safeguard the victims, an indefinite order aimed at preventing sexual harm, and lifelong notification requirements.
The offences occurred between May and June of the previous year, during which Dobandi assaulted two teenage girls in Flintshire on different occasions while they were asleep.
On the early morning of June 1, he entered one of the victim’s homes while she was sleeping, got into her bed, and raped her, with the victim waking to find herself partially undressed and Dobandi beside her.
A month earlier, another teenage girl had awakened to find Dobandi raping her in her bed.
Subsequently, he sent voice messages to one of the victims, confessing to his crimes.
