EX-MET POLICE OFFICER SENTENCED FOR GROOMING UNDERAGE GIRLS ONLINE
A Metropolitan Police officer known as PC Sonny Pooni has been stripped of his police credentials following his involvement in disturbing online child abuse and grooming activities. He actively communicated with multiple minors across various social media platforms such as Amino, Discord, WhatsApp, and Telegram.
Pooni engaged in sexually explicit role-playing, making vile and inappropriate comments and attempting to manipulate underage girls.
For example, he asked a girl who was 14 years old, "what her breast milk would taste like," and lied about his age to exploit the situation.
He also told a girl he believed to be 12 that he was 19, despite being 21 himself, and made inappropriate comments about underage girls, including one who was only 12, referring to her with a slang term for underage girls.
Pooni's conversations included attempts to start romantic relationships, often asking explicit questions, sending images of himself in police uniform, and insisting he could not serve as a police officer again.
His behavior was deemed so unacceptable that he was permanently barred from policing and would have been dismissed if still employed.
The police found evidence of 106,987 pages of communications spread over 169 chats.
This appalling conduct was uncovered after a girl known as Child A collected evidence and sent it to the NSPCC.
Pooni's malicious actions involved grooming and attempting to establish inappropriate relationships with minors, performing acts that have led to his suspension and inclusion on the College of Policing Barred List.
