SERIAL ONLINE GROOMER NOW ON THE INDEFINTE SEX OFFENDERS REGISTER
Simon Williams, a resident of Birmingham, appeared before a judge on multiple charges related to online grooming spanning from 2017 to 2024.Williams was initially detained in 2017 and later received a four-year prison sentence in 2020 after a thorough investigation that lasted three years.
He was apprehended by authorities known as the Guardians of the North.
Following his release in 2021, he was subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) that remains in effect until 2036.
In 2024, Williams engaged in communication with three individuals posing as minors, aged between 12 and 14, leading to numerous offenses.
He was successfully re-arrested early this morning after a planned operation involving a warrant.
Williams is currently detained in custody.
He has been sentenced to an additional three years in prison and will be registered as a sex offender indefinitely.
