NEWCASTLE DOCTOR SHIVRAM RANA CAUGHT "SEXTING" KIDS
In 2019, junior doctor Shivram Rana from Newcastle was targeted by the Child Online Safety Team (COST).He engaged in communication with what he thought was a minor, which led to his arrest by law enforcement authorities.
However, the Crown Prosecution Service was unable to pursue charges effectively, as Rana had performed a factory reset on his phone when the Sting team arrived at his home, making the evidence unreliable for prosecution in a criminal court.
