MAN GUILTY OF REPEATEDLY RAPING RUNAWAY BIRMINGHAM GIRL, 16, WHO WAS SHARED AROUND IN HOTEL ROOM
Shiraz Nassar was convicted of one charge of rape. The case was brought at Birmingham Crown Court, and the sentencing was adjourned until March 19 next year.
Prosecutor Tim Clark KC highlighted that "she was a vulnerable teenager - she was known to social services." The girl, who had run away from home, got into Zaffar's BMW on Alum Rock Road in July 2019.
She alleged Zaffar raped her multiple times over the subsequent days, including in a hotel room full of men who took turns abusing her.
She further claimed Zaffar raped her in a hotel in Walsall in front of a 'baby-faced' man called 'Young Boy'.
She said Zaffar boasted about her and said she was 'sexually available', before proceeding to rape her in front of others, with each man taking turns.
Her ordeal ended when she was dropped off near Selfridges in Birmingham.
Nassar, 40, from Denton in Manchester, was convicted of one charge of rape.
The girl's account was supported by evidence shown during the trial, and her disclosure of her abuse to social services after her return home.
The jury found the four men guilty following a five-week trial.
