KENT MEN CONVICTED OF TEEN GANG RAPE IN RAMSGATE
Four men hailing from Kent have been found guilty of raping a 16-year-old girl in Ramsgate, following an incident where she requested directions.The jury at Canterbury Crown Court convicted them on Friday of assaulting the girl at Rahmani's residence during the early hours of 18 September 2016.
Instead of assisting her, the men took her to a flat where they subjected her to rape.
The accused individuals include Rafiullah Hamidy, aged 24 from High Street in Herne Bay; Shershah Muslimyar, aged 20 from Hovenden Close in Canterbury; Tamin Rahmani, aged 37 from Northwood Road in Ramsgate; and Hamid Mohamadi, aged 18, formerly residing in Boughton Aluph, Ashford.
Hamidy initially fled to Italy but was captured there through an extradition process and subsequently brought back to the UK.
The victim was left alone after the assault, and the four men are now in custody awaiting sentencing.
