SHAUN WILLIAMS BANNED IN BOURNEMOUTH AFTER ADMITTING CHILD INDECENT PHOTOS
In a recent court hearing held in Bournemouth, Shaun Mervyn Williams, aged 49 and residing on Frost Road, faced serious charges related to the exploitation of a child.Williams pleaded guilty to taking an indecent photograph of a minor, a crime that has shocked the local community and brought attention to ongoing concerns about child safety and online exploitation.
Following his admission, the court sentenced Williams to a 10-week prison term.
However, this sentence was not immediate; it was suspended for a period of 12 months, meaning he will not serve time unless he commits another offense within that timeframe.
In addition to the prison sentence, Williams was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £80 and cover legal costs amounting to £85.
Williams also admitted to the separate charge of showing an indecent photograph of a child.
The court sentenced him to an additional 10 weeks in prison for this offense, but like the previous sentence, it was suspended for 12 months and served concurrently with the first.
The judge also imposed a restraining order, which restricts Williams from approaching or contacting the victim or any related parties.
As part of the court's conditions, Williams is required to reside at his Frost Road address during the supervision period, which lasts for 12 months.
He must also attend scheduled appointments with authorities as directed and adhere to the terms of the restraining order, ensuring he remains under supervision and does not pose a further risk to the community or the victim involved.
