INVERNESS MAN ORDERED TO STAY AWAY FROM FORMER PARTNER AFTER DOMESTIC INCIDENT
A landscape gardener from Inverness was ordered to stay away from his former partner after a court heard he had committed a breach of the peace that involved a violent dispute at her home on April 2 of the previous year.Neighbors reported hearing shouting and were concerned about a domestic incident, prompting them to call the police.
When officers detained Flaherty, he admitted to having an argument with his girlfriend.
The court was told that his former partner was 'so scared' of him that she supported a non-harassment order for as long as the court deemed necessary.
As a result, a two-year non-harassment order was imposed on Flaherty, along with a fine of £760.
The court also heard that Flaherty had voluntarily sought psychiatric help after the incident, expressing remorse for his actions.
