ABERDEEN MAN JAILED FOR DOMESTIC ABUSE AND THREATENING TO KILL PARTNER
Sean Craig, aged 36, was sentenced at Aberdeen Sheriff Court for domestic abuse and threatening to kill his former partner.The court heard how Craig had a history of violent and controlling behavior in his relationship.
He admitted to unlawful acts of abuse including biting his partner on her face and threatening her with death outside a shop in Banchory.
Craig was also found to have breached bail conditions by entering Banchory despite being instructed not to do so.
His actions were described as disgraceful by Sheriff Graham Buchanan, who noted Craig's previous record involving violence, domestic abuse, and stalking.
Craig was sentenced to a total of two years and eleven months in prison and was given a non-harassment order that bans him from contacting the victim indefinitely.
The court highlighted the severity of his misconduct, especially the incident involving biting the complainant on her face while he was under bail restrictions.
