A man has received a prison sentence after stalking a woman outside her residence in Preston.
Sean Bean violated a restraining order in January 2025, just one day after it was granted, by driving alongside his victim, exhibiting intimidating behavior, and laughing at her.
Additionally, he drove past her home 37 times over a period of three and a half weeks.
During a Victim Impact Statement, the woman described the impact of his actions: “Sean has turned my life upside down.
He has cost me everything.
My confidence, my self-esteem, my own self-worth, my mental health, my friends, and nearly my children.
I no longer feel safe in my home or anywhere else; I have no freedom, and I feel trapped.” Sean Bean, aged 35 and residing on Westfield Drive in Preston, was arrested and later charged after consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service.
The charges included Stalking causing Serious Alarm and Distress and Breach of a Restraining Order.
He pled guilty to the offenses and was sentenced to 14 months in prison at Preston Crown Court, along with being subject to an indefinite restraining order.
