PREDATOR RAPED SCHOOLGIRL, 12, THEN 'PIMPED HER OUT' TO OTHERS PAEDOPHILES
A predator raped a schoolgirl then ‘effectively pimped her out’ to his friends in a paedophile ring, a court heard.Gary Shields claimed he was 19 when he began grooming the 12-year-old, whom he met on TikTok.
He told her she was ‘really fit’ and when she revealed her age, Shields said they could ‘make it work’.
Although she was too young for any sexual relationship, she felt the online communication was normal and made her feel good about herself, "Judge Michael Maher said." Shields persuaded the girl to send nude photos and arranged to meet her in Penwortham after a month of online contact.
The girl took a friend but was alone when he pulled up in his car on Cop Lane and wound down the window.
He then drove her to Penwortham Holme, where he kissed her and orally raped her.
He then added her to a sick group chat with like-minded paedophiles, where he ‘revelled’ in what had happened, asking her to send a picture with obscene captions to arouse the group.
One of the men described the girl as a ‘solid 12-year-old’ after seeing her photo.
Shields arranged to meet her again, but the plan was uncovered when her mother checked her phone.
The girl expressed feeling ‘fear, stupidity and embarrassment,’ and described being degraded and humiliated online, where she was sexually objectified.
Shields, from Scotland but working in Preston, was arrested.
He admitted meeting the girl but claimed the messages were ‘bravado’ and that he knew she was young but not how young.
He pleaded guilty to raping a child under 13 and meeting a child after grooming.
He was sentenced to nine years in prison with an extended licence period of a year.
