POLICE HUNT SEX OFFENDER WHO WENT MISSING AFTER JAIL RELEASE IN DEWSBURY
A convicted sex offender, Scott David Brown, 23, has gone missing after being released from prison.
Brown is known to have threatened to kill a 17-year-old girl before robbing and raping her in August 2004.
He served four years in a young offender institution after admitting to the attack when he was 17, with his sentence lengthened for other offences committed during his detention.
Authorities describe him as a high-risk registered sex offender who is white, 5ft 6in tall, slim, with brown hair and blue eyes.
Brown has a history of violence and dishonesty convictions.
He disappeared in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, on Thursday and has links to the Pontefract area.
Police have urged anyone who sees him to call 999.
