MAN KICKED PARTNER AND POURED A DRINK OVER HER
A 29-year-old man, who assaulted his partner by pouring beer over her and kicking her, has been ordered to do unpaid work.He was found guilty after a trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court where he was accompanied by a Nepalese translator.
He was convicted of a charge that on August 28 at Bridge Street, he assaulted his partner by pouring beer over her and kicking her on the body.
He also breached bail by contacting the woman at Ashiqs restaurant, Bridge Street.
Sheriff Mark O’Hanlon told Lamsal: “It’s concerning that in the social work report you do not accept any responsibility.
It was clear from the evidence that it was a distressing case for the complainer and it was with some reluctance that she felt she had to call the police.” The sheriff imposed a community payback order with 250 hours of unpaid work and a year’s supervision.
Lamsal was also put on a three-year non-harassment order.
