YOUNG MUM-TO-BE TERRORISED BY JAILED EX WHO SENT OVER 4,000 THREATENING TEXTS AND CALLED ARMED MEN TO HER HOME
Samuel Donnelly, aged 28 and residing on Ladbrooke Road in Ashton, received a prison sentence of five years and eight months after pleading guilty to charges of coercive behaviour, possession of illegal items in prison, and conspiracy to incite violent disorder.His criminal record includes a lengthy history of harassment and intimidation directed at his former partner, whom he contacted via over 4,000 phone calls and text messages from his detention at Forest Bank.
Donnelly made threats to shoot her and sent three accomplices masked and armed with a handgun to her residence, causing her and her family to seek safety in secure locations.
The court heard that he had amassed 33 previous convictions, including assault, affray, and causing grievous bodily harm.
The victim described feeling controlled, threatened, and living in constant fear of being murdered, with concerns extending to her family’s well-being.
Judge Maurice Greene commented: 'These acts were prolonged and violent, involving others who were frightened by your conduct.
Such serious offenses have undoubtedly had a damaging impact on multiple individuals.'
