The court sentenced him to a 10-month suspended sentence, ordered 100 hours of unpaid work, and imposed a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

The judge described Khan’s grooming behavior as slow and deliberate, involving innuendo and sexualized imagery, although he never explicitly asked for sexual content, and noted his repeated discussions about taking a bath and asking about school.

The livestream of the confrontation, broadcast by STOP Stings, drew thousands of viewers, highlighting the increasing efforts to tackle online child grooming.

Khan’s claims of innocence in the police interview were contradicted by the evidence collected, leading to his conviction and ongoing restrictions on his activities.
