RYAN GALLACHER FROM PERTH FACES COURT OVER DOMESTIC ABUSE AND STALKING INCIDENTS

Ryan Gallacher, a resident of Perth, found himself in serious legal trouble following a series of disturbing incidents involving his former partner. The case, which was heard at Perth Sheriff Court, detailed a pattern of aggressive and threatening behavior that Gallacher directed towards his ex-partner after their relationship ended in 2023.

According to court proceedings, Gallacher engaged in persistent stalking, which included sending numerous offensive and derogatory messages. He called his former partner a “dirty c***” and an “a***hole,” while also accusing her of dishonesty and disrespect. His conduct escalated to physical attempts to interfere with her attempts to document his behavior; he tried to physically stop her from filming him and even attempted to grab her phone during an incident where she was recording his actions.

Witnesses and evidence presented in court revealed that Gallacher’s hostility intensified after their breakup. He was heard shouting and swearing at her, and during one confrontation, he tried to physically restrain her by grabbing her arm. Despite her efforts to block him on social media, Gallacher continued to reach out, even messaging her friends to check on her well-being, which further demonstrated his obsessive and invasive conduct.

The court was also informed that Gallacher admitted to engaging in an abusive course of conduct. In his defense, he acknowledged his actions, attributing his behavior to alcohol consumption and feelings of self-pity. He expressed regret for his conduct, recognizing that it was unacceptable and harmful.

As a result of his actions, the court imposed a fine of £510 on Gallacher and issued a 12-month non-harassment order. This order prohibits him from making any contact with his former partner for a full year. The sheriff emphasized that, although Gallacher was upset about the breakup, such behavior was entirely unacceptable. The sheriff also noted that if Gallacher’s ex-partner’s feelings change in the future, there might be an opportunity for reconciliation, but only if he strictly adheres to the court’s order and refrains from all contact during this period.
