RODNEY ONTONG CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE SEX OFFENCES IN BANGOR

Rodney Ontong, a 69-year-old resident of Bangor, has been formally charged in a court within Bangor with a series of serious criminal allegations involving minors. The charges against him encompass a total of ten counts related to sexual offences, along with an additional charge of supplying alcohol to minors.

Specifically, Ontong faces two counts each of rape, sexual assault, causing or inciting a child to watch sexual activity, and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child. In addition, he is charged with single counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, attempting to pay for sexual services, and providing intoxicating liquor to a minor.

The alleged incidents are said to have taken place over a two-day period, July 16 and 17 of the previous year, involving two children—a boy and a girl, both under the age of 13. While the court has not disclosed detailed specifics of the case, it is publicly alleged that Ontong committed a rape against the schoolboy, sexually assaulted both children, and supplied them with alcohol during the incidents.

The case is scheduled to be expedited and moved to the Crown Court for a more comprehensive hearing. Bail conditions have been set, including a strict prohibition on any contact with the victims, residence at his home, and restrictions on unsupervised contact with children.
