A man identified as Rodney Kennedy, aged 47, has been handed down a prison sentence of 14 years after being found guilty of multiple sexual offenses involving young boys.

The crimes took place over several years and involved disturbing acts of grooming, where Kennedy used alcohol and drugs to manipulate his victims, some as young as 10 years old, into engaging in sexual activities.

During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Kennedy's misconduct was not isolated but part of a systematic pattern of abuse.

He was found to have recorded much of his offending, capturing the abuse on video, which added to the severity of his crimes.

Authorities also uncovered that Kennedy possessed an alarming collection of over 34,000 indecent images, including the most serious categories of such material, highlighting the extent of his illicit activities.
