The 76-year-old from Newport had previously confessed to twelve criminal charges, which encompassed the rape of a girl under 13, six counts of sexually touching a female under 13, and five counts of creating, possessing, or viewing indecent images of children.
His detention followed an August 2023 arrest after reports that he had sexually assaulted three girls, each under 11 years old.
Law enforcement officers seized electronic gadgets, including smartphones and laptops, from his home as part of the probe, during which they uncovered indecent images across all three categories of severity.
