ROBERT GREENWAY SENTENCED TO 11 YEARS FOR SEXUAL ABUSE IN HOLYHEAD

A man identified as Robert Greenway has been handed down a substantial prison sentence of 11 years following his conviction for a series of serious sexual offenses committed over a period of more than a decade.

The crimes, which involved the abuse of young girls, took place in Holyhead and spanned from 2002 to 2012.

Greenway, aged 61, was found guilty on a total of 20 charges by a jury, which included allegations of systematic abuse against multiple victims.

The court heard that the victims were as young as three years old at the time of the offenses, highlighting the disturbing nature of the crimes.

During the sentencing at Caernarfon Crown Court, Judge Hughes described the offenses as particularly severe, emphasizing the profound and lasting harm inflicted upon the victims.

The judge also noted the gravity of the systematic abuse, which demonstrated a pattern of predatory behavior.

As part of his sentence, Greenway will be registered on the sex offenders register indefinitely, ensuring ongoing monitoring and restrictions.

Following the conclusion of the sentencing hearing, Greenway was taken into custody to begin serving his prison term, marking a significant step in the pursuit of justice for the victims and the community of Holyhead.
