ROBERT EDMONDS FROM WIDNES SENTENCED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OFFENSES IN LIVERPOOL
In a case that has sent shockwaves through the Widnes community, Robert Edmonds, a 64-year-old resident of Widnes, has been sentenced to a community order after being found in possession of over 100 disturbing images depicting children.The images, which included videos and photographs of young girls aged between 10 and 15, were stored on digital devices belonging to Edmonds.
The investigation into Edmonds’ activities was initiated following police alerts in 2013, which traced an email account he used to download the illicit material.
Authorities confirmed that the account was linked to multiple downloads of indecent images involving minors, raising serious concerns about his online behavior.
Edmonds faced multiple charges in connection with the possession and creation of indecent images.
During the court proceedings, he pleaded guilty to three charges related to these offenses, demonstrating remorse and cooperation.
As part of his sentencing, a sexual offences prevention order was imposed to restrict his access to certain online content and prevent further offending.
Additionally, Edmonds was placed under a supervision order for a period of three years, requiring him to regularly report to authorities and adhere to specific conditions.
