A resident of Ilford has been found guilty of stalking a woman by repeatedly visiting her residence, making loud noises, and knocking on her door.
Robert Butcher, aged 33 and living on Richmond Road, was convicted of both stalking and assaulting the woman earlier this year in April.
At Barkingside Magistrates’ Court, it was revealed that between April 6 and April 30, he made multiple attempts to reach the woman through numerous messages and phone calls.
Court proceedings also established that on several occasions, he visited her home, parked nearby, and sometimes played loud music or knocked on her door.
The assault incident occurred on April 7.
On October 26, Butcher was given a sentence of 12 weeks in prison, suspended for a period of one year.
A restraining order was also issued to prevent him from making any contact with the woman.
