ILFORD MAN JAILED FOR REPEATED ASSAULTS ON YOUNG GIRL
A serial sex offender has been sentenced after multiple assaults on a young girl.Monsor Kazi, aged 54 and residing on Hickling Road in Ilford, was convicted of seven counts of rape and the assault of a minor.
The victim's father reported the abuse to the Metropolitan Police in February 2022, leading to Kazi's arrest.
The investigation, led by Det Con Chloe James based at Romford Police Station, revealed that the abuse lasted for about six months in 2021.
Kazi was found guilty and sentenced at Snaresbrook Crown Court last Friday (June 14) to 13 years and six months in prison.
During the court proceedings, the court was informed that police had seized the girl's clothes and bedding from a property in Dagenham for forensic analysis.
The court also heard that Kazi's offenses accumulated over a six-month period.
Kazi is now mandated to remain on the Sex Offenders Register for life upon release.
Det Con Chloe James expressed gratitude for the victim's bravery and the support of witnesses throughout the investigation.
