CHESHIRE THUG WHO PARALYSED BABY LEVI WILL ONLY SERVE 1 YEAR IN PRISON

A devastated aunt has spoken out after her two-year-old nephew was left permanently paralysed in a horrific crash caused by a man driving under the influence of cocaine, alcohol and cannabis.

The crash happened on Easter Sunday during a children’s football tournament.

According to the boy’s aunt, Rhys Farry attended the event heavily intoxicated and under the influence of multiple substances.

Despite having no driving licence, and using a vehicle that wasn’t his, Farry insisted on driving three young children home — aged 2, 5 and 6 — without any child car seats.

When a family member offered to do two trips to ensure the children’s safety, Farry refused, reportedly saying: “They’re not my kids”.

He then drove off, speeding at 60mph in a 30mph zone, dangerously overtaking cars before colliding with another vehicle and crashing into a tree.

The aftermath was devastating.

Two-year-old Levi suffered life-altering spinal injuries, leaving him permanently paralysed, with no control over his bowel or bladder.

He is now confined to a wheelchair and will require 24/7 care for the rest of his life.

His siblings also sustained serious injuries in the crash.

Farry attempted to flee the scene, leaving the injured children behind.

He was reportedly dragged back by three members of the public.

Witnesses say he then sat on the boot of the car, smoking a cigarette, and muttered “I said I’m sorry”, showing no concern for the children lying injured on the ground.

When police arrived, Farry allegedly faked a neck injury to delay his arrest, despite having tried to run from the scene minutes earlier.

He was taken to hospital before being detained.

Blood tests revealed he was over seven times the legal limit for drug driving, with cocaine, cannabis, and alcohol in his system.

At Chester Crown Court, Farry was sentenced to just three years in prison — a sentence the family has branded a disgrace.

The court reportedly took into account his mental health and the fact that he returned to the scene, although eyewitnesses say he was physically dragged back.

Levi has now spent over three months in hospital and is expected to remain there well into next year.

In an emotional public post, the aunt revealed that friends of Farry had offered to clear the family’s GoFundMe page if they agreed to keep his name out of the story — something she said they would never consider.

“No amount of money will change the fact that Levi is paralysed,” she wrote.

“Not once has he apologised.

No remorse.

No accountability.

Meanwhile Levi is bedbound, and that selfish coward could be out in 18 months.” She added: “The judge called this justice.

But Levi’s still in hospital — longer than Rhys Farry will be in prison.

This is a disgrace.” The family continues to call for greater accountability and awareness, urging the public to share Levi’s story so that no other child suffers the same fate.
