PERVERT HAD HUNDREDS OF INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN AS YOUNG AS FIVE
A pervert who had hundreds of indecent images of children denied he has an interest in children, a court has heard.
Reece Elliott, 24, had downloaded moving images of children as young as five being raped.
Elliott, of Church Street, St Erth, appeared at Truro Crown Court for sentencing on Tuesday (October 14), after pleading guilty to three counts of making indecent photographs of a child.
The court heard how the images were found on an iPhone taken from Elliott’s bedroom.
The phone was found to have contained 502 illegal files which were split into 12 category A still images, 225 category A moving images, 52 category B moving images, eight category C still images and 139 moving category C images.
These included children between the ages of five and 14 years old.
In sentencing, Judge Simon Carr told Elliott that someone who downloads moving images of children as young as five being raped has an interest in children.
Judge Carr said Elliott continues to deny responsibility and that he has to accept that he has an interest in children because otherwise he won’t be able to move forward.
Elliott was sentenced to a total of eight months imprisonment suspended for two years.
He must also undergo 12 sessions of mental health treatment requirements and he will be made subject to a sexual harm prevention order for five years, as well as being placed on the sex offenders register.
