PARANOID SCHIZOPHRENIC KILLS SISTER AND NEPHEW IN FRENZIED ATTACK
A paranoid schizophrenic who butchered his younger sister and her five-year-old son in a frenzied attack in their own home was ordered to be held in a maximum security mental hospital.Twenty-nine-year-old Raymond William Wills from Sallyport Crescent, Newcastle upon Tyne, stabbed his sister, Caroline, and her son, Ashley, dozens of times before slashing their throats, then walking to his parents' nearby home and telling his father what he had done.
Wills denied two murder charges but admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
It was reported that Wills was an extremely dangerous man who had purchased a survival knife four days before the murders.
He travelled by bus from his flat to his sister's house in Cramlington, Northumberland, where he forced his way inside and attacked them with extreme violence.
Neighbors reported that Wills often screamed and shouted, believing the television was talking to him and strangers were talking about him.
His defense claimed that voices in his head commanded him to kill, and he had no free will in his actions.
