RAMSGATE MAN CONVICTED OF GANG RAPE IN SHOCKING CASE
Four men have been convicted of raping a 16-year-old girl in Ramsgate, Kent, after they exploited her when she sought help with directions to a friend's house following a night out.Instead of assisting her, the men took her to a flat where they subjected her to sexual assault.
All four men, who are from Kent, denied the charges but were found guilty at Canterbury Crown Court on a Friday.
Rafiullah Hamidy, aged 24 and residing on High Street, Herne Bay, was identified as one of the perpetrators.
He assaulted the girl at Rahmani’s residence early on 18 September 2016.
Following the attack, she was removed from the premises and left alone.
Hamidy initially fled to Italy but was eventually detained there, extradited back to the UK, and was apprehended at Heathrow Airport on 28 March.
The other defendants—Shershah Muslimyar, aged 20; Tamin Rahmani, aged 37; and Hamid Mohamadi, aged 18—were also present at the scene, have been remanded in custody, and their sentencing date has not yet been scheduled.
