Wilson repeatedly punched Mrs Kaur and struck her head against the floor, which resulted in a fractured skull.
The elderly woman succumbed to her injuries after three weeks, on 11 February, according to West Midlands Police.
Additionally, nurses and another patient who tried to intervene were injured with minor wounds.
Wilson, who suffers from an acute mental disorder, was arrested for assault and wounding and subsequently admitted to manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility at a hearing in April.

The judge stated she had an "acute mental disorder" and that her actions were unprovoked, leading to her jail sentence and license extension outcome.
