PHILLIP BROWN FROM NEASDEN INVOLVED IN SEXUAL OFFENSES AT HAMPTON COURT AND CHISWICK
In a case that has drawn significant attention, Phillip Brown, a 26-year-old man residing on Cairnfield Road in Neasden, faced serious allegations related to his interactions with a 14-year-old girl from Harrow. The incident unfolded after Brown met the girl during a fairground event that had stopped at Hampton Court, where he was working as a fairground worker.On the day of the incident, May 26, Brown and the girl exchanged contact information, specifically their phone numbers. The girl later reached out to him, and they made plans to meet in Kingston, Surrey. The situation became more complicated when the girl’s mother grew concerned about her daughter’s whereabouts and managed to locate her in Kingston. Despite her mother’s efforts, the girl and Brown managed to evade her and continued their meeting in Chiswick.
According to prosecutor Robert Meikle, the girl stayed with Brown in one of the fairground’s caravans, where they were joined by another man. During the course of their interaction, the girl disclosed her age, claiming she was 15, while Brown stated he was 19. The situation took a darker turn when the girl’s mother used the recall feature on her daughter’s mobile phone. When she answered, she could hear background noise characteristic of a fairground, and she asked, “Is that Phil?” The mother then inquired, “Do you know how old she is?” A male voice, believed to be Brown’s, responded, “She’s 14.”
It was during that night that the alleged sexual activity took place. The girl later recounted to police that she had tried to resist and was attempting to push Brown away, but she did not speak out openly at the time because another man was present in the caravan. She told police, “I was telling him to get off me but he was just telling me to shut-up. So I just gave up.”
Brown did not deny having sex with the girl but claimed that the encounter was consensual and that he believed she was 17 years old. When questioned by police after his arrest in July, he stated, “My governor heard her say she was 17, or he would not have allowed her to stay the night.”
Following his arrest, Brown was held in custody, and his sentence of six months imprisonment was served immediately, leading to his release. However, he is required to sign the sex offenders’ register and will remain on it for the next seven years, reflecting the seriousness of the charges and the legal consequences he faces.
