GLASGOW MAN JAILED FOR ATTEMPTING TO CONTACT 13-YEAR-OLD GIRL ON DATING APP
A man named Philip McDonnell, aged 53, from Glasgow's Cranhill, has been convicted of attempting to communicate indecently with a girl he believed was 13 years old.The court heard that between March and April this year, McDonnell engaged in conversations with two decoys posing as minors on the dating app Tagged.
He initially thought one was 18 and then continued messaging after she claimed to be 14, asking for pictures of her feet and other sexual content.
McDonnell sent a selfie and made explicit comments, including asking if she wanted him to expose himself and about putting her over his knee.
Police investigations revealed he also spoke to another decoy claiming to be 13, once again requesting pictures and expressing sexual interest.
McDonnell admitted speaking with a 14-year-old and the other young girl, and the court remanded him in custody with sentencing deferred until next month.
