PHILIP CULLING'S SHOCKING SEXUAL MISCONDUCT AT LONDON SCHOOL REVEALED
A serious misconduct case has emerged involving Philip Culling, a deputy headteacher aged 52, who was employed at the prestigious Godolphin and Latymer School located in west London. Culling has been formally banned from teaching following disturbing allegations that he engaged in inappropriate sexual activities with a pupil under his care.According to the findings of the Teaching Regulation Agency tribunal, Culling exploited his authoritative position as a child protection officer to initiate and sustain a sexual relationship with a vulnerable girl, referred to only as 'Person B.' These included taking the girl to a pub during school hours, purchasing flowers for her, and making frequent visits to her family home with the apparent intent of engaging in sexual acts.
The girl recounted that their illicit relationship involved intimate encounters in a cupboard within Culling’s office, as well as in public spaces after she had moved into her own flat. The misconduct was not limited to private meetings; Culling also took her to the pub during lunchtime, further blurring the boundaries of appropriate teacher-student interactions. He continued to show affection by sending her flowers and even wished her good luck during her exam period.
The tribunal revealed that their relationship extended to secret meetings at the school’s leavers’ party, where Culling allegedly took her virginity. Their interactions persisted over the summer, indicating a sustained and calculated breach of professional boundaries. Evidence presented included emails exchanged between the teacher and the pupil, many of which Culling instructed her to delete, and the fact that he obtained her personal phone number from school records to contact her via text messages.
In a disturbing display of affection, Culling sent her a Valentine’s card signed simply as
