MAN CONVICTED OF STALKING CLASSIC FM PRESENTERS WITH PARCELS AND IMITATION FIREARM
Update 18/03/2026: Peter Windsor, 61, who sent Myleene Klass an air pistol, handcuffs, a police uniform and “disturbing” letters has been handed an indefinite hospital order.Windsor, who has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and claimed he was not guilty by reason of insanity, denied stalking both Klass and Breathwick by sending items to Classic FM’s central London studios but jurors reached unanimous guilty verdicts on October 7 after four hours of deliberations.
In a report, consultant psychiatrist Dr Nicholas Kennedy said Windsor requires long-term treatment for schizophrenia and displays chronic delusions and a limited understanding of the impact his behaviour had on his victims.
In evidence to the court, Dr Kennedy said Windsor’s condition had not deteriorated while in prison and he could be transferred to a secure unit within 28 days.
Defence barrister Philip Brunt said the consensus of psychiatrists was that a hospital order was appropriate and that there was a “causal link” between the offending and his schizophrenia.

A man from Birmingham has been found guilty of stalking two celebrity radio broadcasters, having sent them unwanted correspondence, clothing, and a replica firearm.
Peter Windsor, 61, of Mary Road, was convicted of stalking Myleene Klass and Katie Breathwick from March 2020 through August 2024.
In March 2020, he sent a note to both women, describing his ability to perform pull-ups.
In November 2023, Royal Mail intercepted a package addressed to Myleene’s workplace that contained an air pistol.
Between March and September 2024, the victims received multiple handwritten letters and items at their London office, all directly from Windsor, which included sexual and religious comments.
Katie Breathwick received items such as binoculars, a stamp collection, champagne, and spiked running shoes.
On 5 March, she received a parcel containing a silver ring along with a handwritten letter that read: “Dear Myleene, just a silver for holy protection ring for a worth High Priestess.” Windsor also sent a stamp collection, a bank statement showing frequent withdrawals, a necklace, and secondhand shoes.
He was arrested on 17 September last year, and during a search, authorities recovered binoculars, a London journey planner, black gloves, and a transport map of London.
He was formally charged two days later with two counts of stalking that caused significant alarm and distress.
Following a seven-day trial, Windsor was convicted on both counts.
His sentencing is scheduled for 21 November.
Birmingham Police’s Acting Detective Sergeant Marius Dinescu stated: “Peter Windsor caused fear for Myleene and Katie over more than four years.
He mailed up to 100 packages to their workplace, showing a pattern of increasing aggressive behavior, without regard for the consequences on the victims.
They had to bolster security measures at their workplace due to his obsessive conduct.
I commend Myleene and Katie for reporting these incidents which grew more intense over time, and I appreciate their courage in sharing their experiences in court.
Stalking is a serious crime that fundamentally impacts the safety of women and girls, often leading to feelings of insecurity and long-lasting trauma.”
