MAN PROPOSITIONED BOY IN TOILETS AT COLNE ASDA STORE
Peter Kantor, 47, propositioned the teenager in the toilets at the Asda store in Colne just after 2pm on August 8.The victim reported Kantor to security staff and pointed him out as he exited the store.
Police tracked the suspect on CCTV leaving Asda and entering other stores.
Kantor was arrested at his home in Nelson on August 18.
Police found the clothing he was wearing during the offense, along with the manbag and notebook seen on CCTV tucked into his gilet.
He pleaded guilty to causing/inciting a boy aged 13-15 to engage in sexual activity at Burnley Crown Court on September 16 and was sentenced to three years in jail on September 25.
He was also made subject to a 10-year sexual harm prevention order, required to sign the sex offenders' register for life, and the Border Agency will be notified for potential deportation after serving his sentence.
DC Charla Devereux praised the victim's bravery and the swift actions of security staff in bringing Kantor to justice.
Lancashire Police emphasized that behavior like this will not be tolerated.
