SEX OFFENDER JASON COLLIER BREACHED NOTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
A convicted sex offender ordered a smartphone to be delivered to his address without informing the police.Blackburn Magistrates' Court heard Jason Collier failed to register that he was homeless as he was required to do under the registration requirements.
Collier, 34, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to breaching a sexual harm prevention order and breach of a sexual harm prevention order.
The court was told Collier was due to be sentenced for two breaches of notification requirements on April 23, and the latest offences were adjourned for sentencing on the same date.
The defendant was remanded on bail.
Courtney Thompson, prosecuting, said Collier had ordered the phone to be delivered to the Colne address at which he was living at the time.
He failed to inform the police of the purchase within three days of it arriving.
When he was made homeless, he was required to sign in at the police station every seven days, but failed to register on February 23.
