MAN HAS BEEN JAILED AFTER PLEADING GUILTY AT COURT TO STALKING OFFENCES AND SEXUAL COMMUNICATION WITH CHILDREN
Paul Parker, aged 48 and residing on Baron Court, appeared at St Albans Crown Court on Friday, 24 April.He was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges.
His convictions included 32 months for stalking causing serious alarm or distress, seven months for breaching a Stalking Protection Order between 3 December 2025 and 12 December 2025, and two counts of sexual communication with a child, each carrying a nine-month sentence to run concurrently.
The court was informed that over a period of approximately three years, Parker repeatedly harassed a woman who was over 20 years younger than him and an acquaintance.
He sent thousands of phone calls and messages while pretending to be someone else, despite her requests for him to stop contacting her.
The victim described how Parker’s menacing texts included details about her location and clothing, suggesting he was stalking her even when she was at home.
On one occasion, she caught Parker lurking outside her house at 1am.
During the investigation into his stalking, authorities imposed a Stalking Protection Order.
This order prohibited Parker from owning or controlling more than one phone and required him to inform police within three days of any changes to his device’s details, including phone number, serial number, IMEI, make, or model.
In March 2026, police searched his property and found a hidden mobile phone in the loft.
The device was used to send messages to multiple individuals, constituting a breach of the order.
In addition to the stalking offences, Parker was charged with two counts of sexual communication with a child, occurring between June 2023 and May 2024.
The court was told that Parker left his phone number in a public toilet in Stevenage.
When two 12-year-old girls discovered the number and contacted him, he falsely claimed to be 15.
Rather than stopping contact, Parker continued to call and message the girls, often late at night, despite being aware of their true ages.
