STEVENAGE PAEDOPHILE 'WITH NO REMORSE' JAILED FOR 7 YEARS
A Stevenage paedophile has been jailed for more than seven years after being found guilty of sexual activity with a child.
At St Albans Crown Court on Friday, Jamie Dunford, of Archer Road in Stevenage, was sentenced to seven years and six months following his conviction on two counts of sexual activity with a child.
The victim's mum, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, has spoken out about the impact Dunford's actions have had on her daughter and their family.
She said: "Even though a guilty verdict has been given, and I thank the jury ever so much, there is no celebration because, no matter what, it can't cut the hurt that was caused to my little family.
We are extremely grateful for the verdict, and I can't comprehend how life would be right now if it had gone the other way, but it would have been bad.
He has destroyed years of our lives, and it will forever have an impact, and nothing will ever change that.
My child should have never had to take the stand and, being her mother, I hope he rots because he has no remorse for what he's done."
