BOURNEMOUTH SEX OFFENDER DODGES PRISON AFTER REGISTRATION FAILURE
A SEX offender has avoided an immediate prison sentence after failing to comply with registration requirements.
Paul Meaden, of Owls Road, Bournemouth, failed to provide an update to the authorities on his new address within three days.
Meaden, 25, previously pleaded guilty to the offence, which was committed in London on October 18, and appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, November 17, for sentencing.
The bench sentenced him to 24 weeks in prison, suspended for two years.
The suspended term includes an electronic monitoring of his whereabouts requirement for four months.
Additionally, he is required to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work, complete up to 40 rehabilitation activity days, and pay a £128 surcharge.
