SUTTON-IN-ASHFIELD MAN GETS 9.5 YEARS FOR KIDNAP AND ASSAULT
Lilliman, 32, of Bentinck Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, received an overall sentence of nine-and-a-half years.
The custodial part was four-and-a-half years, giving him credit for his pleas of guilty, and he will serve two-thirds before he is eligible for release.
His extended licence was set at five years.
He pleaded guilty to kidnap, wounding his former partner, wounding her cousin, criminal damage to the toilets, affray, threats to kill and assaults on emergency workers.
A restraining order was made for life.
The incident involved him taking his former girlfriend hostage in a pub toilet, where he caused injuries to her and her cousin, shattered toilets, and made threats including that he had petrol to kill them both.
He was arrested after police arrived and negotiations took place during the incident.
