OASIS'S BROTHER PAUL GALLAGHER FACES SERIOUS RAPE AND ASSAULT CHARGES
The brother of Oasis legends Liam and Noel Gallagher has been hit with rape charges following a police investigation launched last year.Paul Gallagher is facing a string of serious allegations including rape, sexual assault, coercive control and making threats to kill.He's set to appear before magistrates next month.The alleged crimes are said to have occurred between 2022 and 2024 and involve one female victim.At 59, Paul is one year senior to Noel and seven years older than Liam, growing up alongside the rock superstars - who are set to take the stage at Wembley on Wednesday with Oasis, reports the Mirror.But Paul, who now resides in London, has never been part of Oasis, instead pursuing careers as a DJ and photographer.In a statement to the Mirror, the Met Police confirmed: "A man has been charged with numerous offences - including rape, coercive control and sexual assault."Paul Gallagher, 59, of Manor Park Road, East Finchley, has been charged with rape, coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.The offences are reported to have taken place between 2022 – 2024.The charges follow an investigation which commenced in 2024.
A woman is being supported by specially-trained officers.Gallagher will appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 27 August."
