PERVERT BANNED FROM CONTACTING DAUGHTER FOR 99 YEARS
A man who solicited sexual images from his own daughter has been sentenced to a 99-year ban on contacting her.Additionally, he spent weeks coercing explicit photographs from his former partner, the girl’s mother, while threatening to reveal their private dealings to her new partner.
To ensure their safety, his identity has been protected.
At Dumbarton Sheriff Court on December 17, he received a prison sentence, was placed on the sex offenders register for an indefinite period, and was subject to comprehensive protective orders.
Previously, it was revealed that the 35-year-old frequently demanded lewd photographs from his ex over a span of more than three years, offering money in return.
He also persuaded his 13-year-old daughter to send similar images, threatening to disclose these exchanges to her mother’s new partner if she refused.
The discovery of his communications occurred when his ex checked her daughter’s phone.
The offences, committed within the jurisdiction of Dumbarton Sheriff Court, date back to 2019 and involved properties in North Glasgow, Rutherglen, and other locations.
When he appeared in court again on December 17, he was in custody awaiting sentencing.
The court was informed that the girl’s mother had asked for financial assistance for her children, which the man exploited by requesting photos in exchange for money.
He directed her on how to pose and dress for these images, which included photographs of her breasts and buttocks, demanding she also touch herself.
Prosecutors stated, “He repeatedly sent requests, and she responded by sending the images, receiving sums of between £150 and £600 via bank transfer from his account.
This exchange became routine, occurring weekly or biweekly from October 1, 2019, to November 28, 2022.” The girl’s mother felt disgusted and kept her actions hidden, but he threatened to inform her new partner if she tried to stop.
In 2022, he also contacted his daughter through Snapchat, urging her to take photos while in the bathroom.
He inquired about her bra size and requested pictures of her breasts and bottom nightly for a week, offering £20 through a gaming app.
She confided in a friend about her fear that her father would tell her mother.
The man pleaded guilty in October to instructing his ex to take sexual images and to sending sexual communications to his 13-year-old daughter.
Sheriff Frances McCartney sentenced him to four years in prison, with the initial 34 months served behind bars, followed by an extended and supervised 14-month release.
He received a five-year sexual harm prevention order and was placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
A non-harassment order was also issued, prohibiting contact with his daughter and ex for 99 years.
