84-YEAR-OLD MAN CHARGED WITH HISTORIC CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE IN SUTTON IN ASHFIELD
An 84-year-old man has been officially charged with multiple allegations of sexual crimes against boys during the 1960s.Nigel Pipe, residing in Llanwenarth View, Abergavenney, appeared at Mansfield Magistrates' Court yesterday where he was formally charged with 27 offenses.
The charges include four counts of buggery with a boy under 16, 14 counts of indecent assault on a boy under 16, and nine counts of inciting a boy under 14 to commit gross indecency.
These alleged offenses occurred while Pipe was working as a housemaster at Skegby Hall, located on Mansfield Road in Sutton in Ashfield, between 1965 and 1969.
He is scheduled to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on March 1.
The case is under ongoing investigation and these charges relate to historical abuse that allegedly took place over five decades ago.
He is set to face further proceedings in court and has not yet been convicted of these charges.
