TROON MAN DENIES HAVING INDECENT PICS AND 'EXTREME PORNOGRAPHY' ON COMPUTER
A TROON man has denied having indecent photos of children as well as an "extreme pornographic image" on his computer.Nicholas Krasewitz, 56, pleaded not guilty to three charges when he appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.
His lawyer, Tony Currie, said the defence would centre on the fact that his client had bought his computer second-hand and maintained that the images must have been stored on it before the purchase.
Krasewitz, of Teviot Place in the town, is accused of possessing indecent photos or pseudo photos of children on his computer between March 27, 2018 and September 16, 2023.
He is also accused of permitting to be taken or making indecent photos or pseudo photos of children between March 2018 and March 2024.
His final charge is possession of an extreme pornographic image depicting a sexual act between an adult female and a dog.
Mr Currie told the court: "He pleads not guilty.
There's an essential requirement to the defence of finding a specialist to analyse the hard drive equipment removed from his home.
The hard drive is held at Police HQ, but the expert has had no access.
The equipment was bought second-hand and the investigation is going on." He asked if the Crown could help to speed up the process.
Sheriff Siobhian Connelly set a trial date for January next year and told Krasewitz: "We will require you to come to court on that date.
You will remain on bail."
