PERTH MAN CAUGHT IN SEXUAL ASSAULT SPREE WALKS FREE WITH DEFERRED SENTENCE
A man named Nathan Porter, aged 23, from Perth, was found guilty of multiple sexual assault charges.
The court heard that Porter approached a 19-year-old woman outside a drop-in centre and asked for a cigarette, then followed her and her friends to the South Inch park.
Prosecutor Stephanie Paterson stated, “The accused came up behind the first complainer and touched her bottom,” and she simply walked away with no words exchanged.
Porter then followed the teenagers to a park bench, sat next to a 16-year-old girl, and proceeded to put his arm around her before grabbing her breast and wrapping his hand around her thigh.
The teenagers flagged down a police car while Porter was laying intoxicated on the bench.
The court’s sheriff, Lindsay Foulis, deferred sentence for further mental health treatment information.
Porter pleaded guilty to these sexual assault incidents and is awaiting further sentencing details.
