PERTH ‘MONSTER’ BEAT WOMAN WITH SPORRAN CHAIN IN TWO-YEAR CAMPAIGN OF ABUSE
A “monster” boyfriend-from-hell beat his terrified partner with a sporran chain while she curled up in a ball on the floor, a court has heard.Paranoid Graham Palmer became obsessed with the idea he was being cheated on and twice assaulted the woman during drunken late-night arguments.
One time, she passed out after he pinned her down and spat on her.
She woke to see her face in the mirror covered in blood.
Palmer, who has previous convictions for violence and public disorder, appeared at Perth Sheriff Court and pled guilty to a “disturbing” campaign of domestic abuse that lasted nearly two years.
A sheriff remanded him ahead of sentencing, stating the offences were so serious he feared the 36-year-old may pose a risk to the public.
